The metadata used by operating system to configure disks or attach drivers and mount disks on your system. You can view such partition-table signatures/metadata/magic strings using the wipefs command. WebbCan't get Proxmox to recognize an HDD: "Usage partitions" I have a 500GB seagate drive in the server that used to have an LVM volume on there. I wanted to make it a ZFS drive, so I formatted it gdisk and now can't get it to be recognized again. Under "Drives" it shows up as 'partitions' under usage but I can't initialize the disk. What I've tried:
