WebOct 10, 2024 · Pain in my left arm. That's how my journey started. I was 46 years old, healthy, and working 40 hours a week in a hospital as a respiratory therapist. I thought the pain was a pinched nerve, so I moved around as though nothing was wrong and hoped it would go away on its own. It didn't. WebArm was swollen, went to the ER because of a suspected blood clot since Urgent Care only had x-ray machines and PCP was closed because holiday weekend. Hospital coded my stay on 11/25 as a pinched nerve (blood clot was found on 11/27). Insurance denies claim because that is a nonemergency service at the ER.
