Web23 Dec 2008 · I am placing a polythene sheet against the wall (moisture barrier), then a 2x4" timber frame (600mm centers), with the gaps filled with 100mm kingspan insulation. I was gonna plasterboard it up, but I would prefer something heavier so it can take some abuse and will easily accept future fixings. I want to line it with 12mm plywood instead. Foil tape to all joints. 50mm Celotex. 2 x 12.5mm layers Fireboard (customer wanted greater sound reduction). A taped and skimmed. DPC fixed to sole plate.
