Spreading the curve only matters if you're setup to run higher rpm. You're probably good to 6000-6500 with either of the 2 cams you're looking at.

That was my first performance cam. you will want a 2500-3000 converter, at least 3.73 gears, and 9.5 compression. If you do not have all of that I would go to a smaller cam. I did not and I put a smaller cam in, the car was faster and ran aolt better. B.
