Elasticsearch manually assign shards
WebDec 28, 2015 · My situation is that I have a large cluster that I want to make smaller. I would like to be able to route primary shards away from this node so when I take the node out, it minimizes the effect. I realize I can do this manually with the reroute API but it doesn't support wildcards so I have do it all manually which is really tedious.
